- Nov 124:00 PMFood Pantry Shopping HoursWe realize how challenging it can be to focus on your studies if you are worried about the basic necessities - like how to pay for food. At Hawk’s Harvest, our goal is to make food available for UNCW students who are experiencing food insecurity*, no questions asked. So stop by and grab some groceries during our shopping hours – we have all your favorites on hand, like mac ‘n cheese, pasta, cereal and more. *Food insecurity is the limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate and safe foods, or limited or uncertain ability to acquire acceptable foods in socially acceptable ways. (Definition is from the Life Sciences Research Office, S.A. Andersen, ed., "Core Indicators of Nutritional State for Difficult to Sample Populations," The Journal of Nutrition 120:1557S-1600S, 1990.) - Nov 125:00 PMBe the Leader Others Want to Follow: Leading with Authentic Vulnerability"Be authentic" . . . "Be unapologetically you" . . . "Just be yourself". The odds you've heard these phrases, or some like them, on different occasions is probably high. No matter where or when you were told this, it's safe to say that it's much easier said than done. Practicing authenticity is a key leadership skill that can make you stand apart and inherently build your confidence. Whether you're new to UNCW or heading into your senior year, it'll always be beneficial to deepen your self-awareness by exploring strategies to practice authenticity. Bravery and vulnerability are required, but you definitely have the courage to own the true you. Join us and we can learn together how to lead with authentic vulnerability and be the leader others want to follow!
