Please join us for a casual Meet 'n Greet with local physicians Rock and Emma Vomer on Monday, September 15th in the Honors Lounge at 5pm. Together, the operate Avance Care Wilmington, a comprehensive primary care sports medicine practice here in Wilmington. They are excited to engage with Honors students to talk about their practice, ongoing research they conduct, as well as an exciting HON 121 enrichment seminar they will offer to Honors students in the Spring!
 
Dr. Emma Vomer is an alum of UNCW Honors ('14) and is a dual board-certified physician in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. Emma completed her fellowship at the University of South Carolina, where she worked with student athletes, including the 2024 Women's National Basketball Championship Team.  Read more about Dr. Emma Vomer here. 

 
Dr. Rock Vomer is a dual board-certified Family and Sports Medicine Physician and Doctor of Physical Therapy. He also holds an appointed research position with the Mayo Clinic.  Read more about Dr. Rock Vomer here.
