Adopt-A-Family is a great opportunity to shop for a local family in need of assistance with their Thanksgiving meal. We work in conjunction with the Sister Isaac Center at the Basilica Shrine of St. Mary's, located in downtown Wilmington. This center provides food, clothing, household items, and financial assistance to community members and families. Want to donate a thanksgiving basket this year? As a sponsor, you will buy groceries to provide a holiday meal for a family – we provide the shopping list – and the groceries then need to delivered to us in a container or box with a lid (this helps to make transporting the meals easy) the Monday morning before Thanksgiving – November 25. We ask that donors also provide $20 cash for the purchase of a turkey by our community partners.
