Buoyed by 17 points from Donovan Newby and three other Seahawks in double figures, UNCW knocked off Delaware 76-72 in the finals of the 2025 Jersey Mike's Coastal Athletic Association Men's Basketball Championship on Tuesday at CareFirst Arena.

The Seahawks (27-7) advance to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2017 with the program's league-record seventh title. The Blue Hens concluded their season with a record of 16-20 following a shocking run to the conference finals. Read more about the championship game.

March Madness Selection Show Watch Party Sunday, March 16

Come be part of the excitement as we learn who the UNCW men’s basketball team will face in the 2025 NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament. UNCW Athletics will be hosting a watch party on Selection Sunday on March 16 at Trask Coliseum. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the selection show begins at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Concessions and merchandise will be available during the event.

Sixty-eight teams will play in the tournament throughout March, leading up to the championship game on April 7 in San Antonio, Texas.
