Professor Ulku Clark, director of the UNCW Center for Cyber Defense Education, and Jeff Greer, part-time faculty in the Congdon School, were invited to share the Maritime Cyber Resilience Roadmap with the Maritime Domain Awareness Executive Steering Committee (MDA ESC) for the National Security Council. The presentation took place on March 18 at the National Maritime Intelligence Center in Maryland.  

“UNCW’s involvement in this high-level discussion underscores our commitment to national security and cybersecurity innovation,” said Clark. “By engaging with federal agencies and decision-makers, we can drive meaningful advancements in maritime cyber resilience.” 

This meeting among senior-level representatives from various government agencies marks a significant opportunity for UNCW to invite key national security stakeholders to become research partners. By strengthening these partnerships, UNCW will enhance its research impact, expand collaboration efforts with federal agencies and reinforce the university’s leadership in maritime cybersecurity.
